You will see that I have chosen a track for Brake Failure and The Double. This is to give atmosphere. Silver Lining is perfect for Brake Failure because it has a Midwestern sound and my heroine doesn't "take the easy road". Lolita is perfect for The Double because the story is set in the South of France and my heroine is a total innocent.

What I will gradually do is make up playlists for you: a romantic dinner; a road trip across the Continent, wild dancing to let off steam, etc. Here is the first one:
You are in your fifties. You are lonely, divorced, kids gone. Rain or shine you walk your dog along the promenade. You meet a man. You start walking your dogs together. You go for coffee. You can't remember the last time you cried laughing. You invite him to your place for dinner. The thing is, he has only ever seen you in a dripping cagoule walking a wet dog. How do you impress him?
